Buckle Up For Landing

We made it.

My word, travelling with a two-year-old can be interesting at times. For the most part, we had a good trip, but when it was time to buckle up for landing, Kaylia lost it.

From the moment the seat belt sign went on till the second it went off and I released her, she was screeching,

“I’M STUCK!! Get me out! This is not mine! There is nothing in here for me!!! I don’t want this!!!”

I’d say she’s a fairly effective communicator, for a two-year-old.

Here’s a few pictures from our day of travel:

Running loose and free while she has the chance.

Having lunch with our travel companion, Auntie Kim.

Doing her fake smile for the camera.

So thankful that we’re here, and that the sun is shining! My hubby’s sitting in an airport, waiting for his flight to Belize. Thank goodness my girls are so wildly active that I’ve had no time to think about missing him!

  1. “There is nothing in here for me”??? It’s so funny to hear the things they come up with. Life has no chance of being boring (which is a bit of a swear word in our house) with all the entertainment the kids have to offer. Noah looked at Rick yesterday night and said, “You have nice hair”. Just matter-of-fact. I think Rick really liked that. 🙂 I should really have a recorder on him at all times, though. He’s always got something going on. I’m thinking Kaylia would probably produce some good audio, too. Have a happy trip. I’m glad you’re safely with your family instead of alone in the woods. 🙂 Enjoy the sun…and just when it’s supposed to start being cold out here! I guess we’ll see.

    • You’re right – kids are crazy entertaining. What in the world did we laugh about before we had children?? Recording them is a good idea. My mom did that with us, and it’s quite hilarious to listen to now.
