Oh, guys. Ben and I just listened to possibly the best message I’ve ever heard. If you ever struggle with controlling your thoughts, worrying, constantly criticizing yourself or others in your head, you should most definitely check this out:

I hurt my back so badly last week that I was flat in bed for three days. I hobbled around like a little old lady, and I cried a little bit, because it looked completely impossible for me to be able to go to the cabin for the long weekend.
We are here, and we're so happy to be back. Winter seemed very long, but now that we're here, it almost feels like we never left. As usual, the drive out yesterday was delightful, and the topics discussed with Ben were varied and unexpected, including:
I got the stomach flu for Mother's Day, which was disappointing. But what is never disappointing is that I get to be a mom to these three wonderful human beings.
Anika came home from college on Saturday, and less than 24 hours later, she was off to camp for the next four months. It was a whirlwind of unpacking and repacking, and for a few hours, we had a whole dorm room's worth of stuff spread over our house. But she whipped that situation into shape, and breezed out the door, ready for the next adventure.
Yesterday, Everett's math was driving me absolutely crazy. It felt like I was repeating the same things over and over, and nothing was sticking. For whatever reason, his brain could not remember to carry the number in the tens spot. It has gone on for days and days, but yesterday specifically, I felt like if he wrote the numbers in the wrong order one more time, I might actually lose my mind.
My heart sank on Sunday when I saw the forecast for this week, but Kaylia's enthusiasm was not dampened for a moment. "It's going to be a BEAUTIFUL week!!" she exclaimed with a smile and a bounce. And I wondered, not for the first time in her life, how we could be having such a different experience of the same circumstances.
