I am much, much better at starting projects than finishing them.
For example. Remember this?
I started that project last summer, and I only needed to do a few small things to finish it up – buy picture frames, have photos printed, sew some cushion covers, find a plant pot, but…it took me an entire year to get around to it!
Oops.
That kind of thing happens often around here. There’s probably some deep, mind-blowing, psychological reason for why I avoid following through on the projects I start, but I have no clue what it is.
In the meantime, whenever I do finish something, IT FEELS AMAZING!!
I love it. And then I get super-motivated to…start a whole bunch more projects. Which I don’t finish. Oh, dear.
Anyway, I finally finished last summer’s project, and it makes me really, really happy. It feels good to be done.

Let’s see . . . where shall I begin? The most pressing one is to finish the 4 flowergirl dresses I am sewing. Must be done by July 21. Then I have a half-started master vanity, spindles for the staircase that are in the painting process, the risers for the stairs that need painting so I can install the already-stained treads that are waiting for me, a school room that needs to be painted and have the cabinetry installed so we can actually do school, a front porch that has most of the decking installed but not all . . . my list is never-ending. That doesn’t include the crocheting that has been started or the cross-stitching or the other sewing I love to do (aprons, aprons and more aprons). Let’s just say I shall never, ever get bored! 😉
Oh, Chantelle, one of the main differences between your to-do list and mine is that I delegate half of mine to Ben because he’s better with tools, and you just do all of yours yourself! You really won’t ever get bored, being Superwoman, and all!:)

Thanks, Leah. My entrance is also very eager to meet you in person. I made the seat cushion. I bought foam at a fabric store and covered it. It wasn’t the most fun thing I’ve ever done, but it wasn’t too bad. I was expecting it to be harder then what it actually was.
