At the Cabin

We spent the afternoon yesterday at my parents’ cabin, enjoying some football on TV, games, and food.

My dad is renovating the cabin, which is adding to the fun right now. The girls loved having rides:

And they were introduced to fridge jumping, which is something we did a lot of when I was younger:

My mom gave Kaylia her own set of cards to play with – the old ones that don’t matter if they get bent:

It was a great afternoon!

  1. I love the picture of Kaylia with the cards. Her hands are so beautifully sweet. I have a weird thing for hands. I just love my kids hands, each “set” so unique and lovely. Sounds like you had a great time with your parents. Fridge-jumping sounds surprisingly adventurous for your family. I cannot imagine my mom and dad having let us jump from the fridge…different strokes, I guess. 🙂

  2. You seriously have never jumped off a fridge, Alicia? You did not spend enough time at our house when you were growing up!! Come to think of it, though, I have not carried on this ‘tradition’ with my kids either. And it’s getting a bit late to start…

    • My friendship with Kendra just started off too late, I think. Imagine all the things she could have introduced me to if we’d been friends earlier!!!

  3. Come to think of it, though, I’d have probably been the one to break my arm doing it, or something. So, it’s better for all of you I never participated in this special activity. Better left to the apparently more adventurous Duecks.
